Zemeckis nailed this one. From the guys at Pixar to the mountain of cash James Cameron sleeps on at night, the obsession with and investment in 3D entertainment continues to explode.

Hoverboard:
The one every kid wished for on his birthday. So far it seems Zemeckis missed the mark here. But he technically has a few more years before 2015, so the verdict is still out.

Video Conferencing:
There may not be one technology prediction more important or culturally relevant in Back to the Future 2 than Video Conferencing. It’s completely changed the way we can communicate with one another. There’s something so personal, connecting, and efficient about communicating eye to eye with someone from literally wherever you are. The scene is classic – Marty searching around the house to find where the ringing is coming from, only to find his co-worker video calling him on his TV. Zemeckis’s vision of business communication in the future was spot on.

I sure hope that the flying car isn’t too far off – I could use some help with the commute.
